Martha Churchill Bohn
“Marty”, a resident of the Chicago, loves the beauty of the local environment in all seasons of the year. She is known for innovative interplay of color and light with portraits and landscape. She has exhibited her photography locally and nationally in Lubbock TX, Chicago, IL, Evanston IL, Moline, GE and Santa Fe, NM. and has received numerous awards for her photos. She is self-taught, having begun photography at the age of 10. She is a founding member of the Miller Beach Arts and Creative District in Gary, Indian where she lived for 20 years. Marty is Professor Emerita of Northwestern University. Before retiring, she was Director of the Neurobiology Program at Lurie Children’s Memorial Research Center and managed a research program focused on developing new gene therapies for Parkinson’s disease. She now spends most of her time on photography, gardening and traveling. She has enjoyed photography in over 87 countries and all 7 continents.
